Summer outing #2

Last wednesday, Gma from Seoul, Baby D and I went to North Ave Beach. It's right next to Lincoln Park Zoo, by Lake Shore Drive. The actual beach parking lot is so tiny, it's best to just park at the zoo and walk a little ways to get there.

To the Beach we go!

dragging the stroller across the sand was very hard, but it was worth the struggle...

What a gorgeous day it was!

The sand was super soft

Baby D had a hard time doing tummy time on the beach because the sand felt funny beneath his tummy

What IS THAT?! Derrick didn't know how to feel about the sand...

We rented umbrella and lounge chairs, only $10 each for the chair and $15 for the umbrella...wasn't overpriced at all, in my opinion...

Photo time with mommy!

Derrick was eh about the sand, but he LOVED feeling the Lake Michigan water between his toes!

It was such a fun day for all of us- we ended up staying at the beach for a total of 2.5 hours, and food wise, Derrick had my breasts, and Gma and I had packed some kimbab and water to enjoy at the beach...
When we came home we made sure to bathe Derrick right away since we slathered sun screen all over him and had grains of sand in his diaper...(how it got in there, is still a mystery to me...)
A successful trip out to the beach!
